Shudo describes a Samurai tradition of mentoring, with older warriors teaching their craft to the younger men.
So how does Shudo work?
The idea is to form teams of all skill levels. Teams generally by lake or by area. Once the teams are made, everyone can posts up a list of stuff they want to accomplish during Shudo.
Then the teams ride together and make video of each rider attempting whatever their goals were. The videos are edited to show each team member's progress.
July is the normal month to start filming for Shudo. Let’s see who is interested in reviving Shudo.
I am posting up some of the history of DWB Shudo’s from the past that are still online for those that have never seen or heard of this before.

this isnt going to happen this year, needs to start way earlier like by may 1st at the latest and needs to be way more oragnized ie teams need to be chosen and put omloine with lists of possible levels they are starting at and new tricks they are hoping to put down this year just for starters ..i think 2013 might be better if you guys really want to do this again..
I agree that this is going to more than difficult to get started again. But there was a thread started more than 2 months ago. Some showed some interest but nothing really came of it. I really don't expect many to want to do this until someone is already doing it. Even if we only get 1 lake to participate this year it will be worth going through the motions for next year.
I would be willing to do it but time is a major factor (both for riding and editing) I have always said it needs to run the whole summer.
The biggest hurdle is that not as many riders get on the site anymore so it would be harder to construct teams from the limited amount of people who actually are interested.
I agree on both accounts. I would love to see it be a run for the entire summer. As far as traffic on the site not much I can do there other than spread the word and hope people get interested.
