I went out ther today. The new locations of the obstacles were okay with me I guess. Hitting the pipe in its new spot took a bit of getting used to but was fun once I got used to it. It was fun riding over the back of the fun box - I almost never hit that thing in its old spot. This was a little after 2pm so the cable was running normal speed.

glad u had fun try it at lower speeds and with kids fallen all over around the obstacles where you have to pass them 4 times before you can hit them

There were a lot of newbs there yesterday. Many of them were crashing right off the dock, but there were also several times I couldn't hit something beause there was a fallen rider there. But I hear what you're saying, Bill. This situation you had would be really frustrating when you are just trying to grab a quick 1 hour of riding while you happen to be in the area.

I think my timing was just really good yesterday - short line and normal speed cable.

btw its not whining about the obstacles being moved, its where they were placed and combined with the slower cable they are tougher to get to and try things on , its just didnt feel the same as it did the first three times, and again i dont have to like it, stop being defensive about our feedback.. say thanks you asnd leran from it..

I am in no way affiliated with Hydrous other than I ride there. I share the same frustrations as you, but also understand that this time of year it's just how it's gotta be, and it won't be forever. Sorry for blasting you.

Wow, this really took off on a tangent. I'm looking forward to BSR to open. If anyone makes it down there, report back with what you think.

As for Hydrous. I don't completely agree with everything they do, but it's not my business to run. Keyword being business. If it were up to most of us on here, there would never be a line at the dock, or newbies messing up our lines into the obstacles. That not exactly the best way to keep a business up and running, and availible for us to go ride at all. I've spoken to both Chad and Victor, they do seem like they are trying to accommodate all level of riders. There will be another 2.0 going in to take some of the newbies off the main lake.

I actually think Cowtown is ALWAYS slow, but that place is another story.

Soft opening was a good time last Saturday. Cable is smooth and obstacles are big and forgiving. Kickers swooped so you can take any angle you want and go off whichever height you want to. A frame wasn't in the water yet but it's big and looks like a good time. Everything sits off the water high enough to do get some 180/270s off at least. Big cable and nice venue. Gonna try and make it down to the grand opening this weekend.

Went on wed this week and agree with wkbrdtx63. Easy corners, good obstacles, runs clockwise, shaded start dock, proshop is nice (and already finished) and no rocks underwater or on the shore to deal with. All this and its cheaper than the parks around here! My only complaint is how far away it is. I'll bet even Bill would like it, or least have a hard time finding something to complain about.
